There are a few things to keep in mind if you are having a puppy shipped.

Although your puppy will be freshly groomed and bathed before being shipped keep in mind, they sometimes get sick or even potty in their kennel on the way.
Although most of my new owners call and say their pups look perfect, sometimes they see their pup for the first time with poo poo on it smelling like poo.
Just keep this in mind, that you may not find that beautiful, clean, bundle of fur in the kennel.

What to take to the airport with you!
#1 All of the flight information and paperwork I email you prior to pups flight.

#2 MY PHONE NUMBERS!
Please call me as soon as your new pup is safe with you to let me know you have him/her.  Although I only ship Continental and have NEVER had a problem thus far.  I've been this babies mommy for 8 weeks or more and I do worry about them.  I will worry until I hear from you.
# 3 A TUBE OF NUTRI-CAL OR HONEY
All Toy Dog owners need to have this on hand anyway.  Grab a tube from your local vets office and take it with you.  Sometimes a puppy will not eat on a flight, as it is out of it's element and sometimes gets somewhat nervous.  When it arrives, you should give it 1 cc of Nutrical or alternate High Calorie/ Carb substitute by mouth or  1/2 tsp. of Honey by mouth.
This should eleminate any low blood sugar issues from lack of eating on the way to you.
( I do mix Nuti-cal in the pups food and give them some before leaving them at the airport, but it's always best to insure they get some when they arrive as well.)
#4 Puppy Wipes
I'm sure there is no need to explain this one.  See Beginning statement.
#5 Blankets or Towels
Same reason as above
#6 LOTS OF LOVE, HUGS, KISSES AND EXCITEMENT!
Your pup will be so happy to see you, or maybe a little scared. Usually they are so thrilled to be taken out of the crate and held.  Get ready for your new best friend!!
